About us
Mervyn Mason is Dogwood Ecology's principal ecologist, with nearly 30 years of experience. He is a certified ecology specialist with the Environmental Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ). Over Mervyn's career, he has completed extensive ecological surveys, monitoring projects, and developed ecological planning requirements on five of the world's six continents. His work has informed and aided federal, state, and local governments, non-governmental organisations, conservation groups, community infrastructure projects, and resource development.

By remaining a small, client-focused company, Dogwood Ecology aims to works with our clients and partners to provide practical and scientifically defensible advice and assessments.
Health, safety, and the environment

Drawing on 30 years of experience, Dogwood Ecology places the health and safety of its employees and partners first. Our principal ecologist, Mervyn Mason, has successfully completed ecological assessments in some of the most remote regions of the world, and is highly experienced in the requirements for keeping people safe. Similarly, we strive to have as small an impact on the environment as possible with all our activities.
Giving back to the community

Sharing knowledge and expertise is at the core of our ethos. Dogwood Ecology is involved in providing advice and time to improving our local environment, and global conservation efforts.
